Marine Weather by Bluefin is pretty good, allows you to get real time data from the live weather stations and has a pretty good forecast feature from NOAA i believe. Gives you a map that have the lake sectioned off in zones and lets you get data for that area. I use it all the time and its been pretty accurate. Was out at Kellys island over labor day and kept an eye on it, decided to shoot for home a day ahead of time based on forecast and boy am i glad i did . . . . . . lake kicked up huge for about a week straight . . . . . course staying out there for an extra week aint all that bad :D

You must be getting smarter to use apps for a smart phone!

rawthemes wall paper. its not weather related nor will it improve productivity, but it gives ya something to look at during those long meetings.

Chris,

Give "Marine Tuner" a try. The way I understand it is, it can use the GPS on your phone for actual speed and real time calculations:-) Haven't tried it in the water yet.

Regardless it seems to be a more polished Prop Slip app than the Hering app.

I like the max speed app (free).

DirtyMoney 10-30-2011 09:14 PM

Somebody needs to make an app where gps speed shows up on video

paulb32 10-31-2011 10:37 PM

I use the ones GlassDave uses and they work great. Als just loaded Windfinder, it is a wind current and 6 day forecast by NOAA stations or land points, cool.
There are lots GPS speedo's, I use Speedview because it records speed over time and you can go back and review.
