Did I REALLY just get this in the mail?
 

I just received an offer to renew my Powerboat mag subscription. It was only a few weeks back that I got the notice that they wouldn't be producing the magazine anymore, and they'd resume shipment if they ever were in a position to publish the thing again.

I like the magazine, even in it's thinned down days.....but I'd be an idiot to send money for a magazine that they're not even shipping.

It's shipped. If you were a subscriber when the new publisher took over you should see the new issue soon. There's been some threads on here and RDP about people getting their new issues. There's also the "Dpub" online issue covering the readers choice awards at powerboatmagazine.com.

Thanks Tank. That's better news. It might have made a touch more sense to have their current subscribers get the renewal offer after they had that fresh issue in hand. I still may wait to get a couple of the "new" issues in my mailbox before I send in any more $$$.

Haha, all good. They're working through the transition. The new issue looks good. When you get it let us know what you think. There's some good coverage of great events and products.

Thank you for defying the nay-sayers and putting out one of the best magazines in our sport!

In todays times, surviving is the key, many times we have to make hard, ugly choices in order to move forward, I applaud those that are willing to make those changes.

We all appreciate what it takes, please keep up the good work and look forward to even more content when the economy picks up,

I got the same renewal letter and it made me chuckle. i figured I would consider renewing my script when I actually started receiving the magazine again.

I got mine today ( well, actually yesterday since it's after midnight ). I was shocked as hell, but very happy. They did a great job with it, lots of info and pics, better than the most recent ones before the "PAUSE".

Got mine on Thursday. I was laughing though......I received the same letter to re-subscribe. I re-subscribed in the spring only to get one issue before the "pause". Anyway, it's a great mag and I am super stoked to be receiving it again!

Jason Johnson, the editor of Powerboat, and I hung out at a tailgate before last weekend's 49ers—Browns game, and he brought me an issue. Jason and the Powerboat crew did a really nice job. Good to see an iconic magazine back up and running.

I also laughed about the renewal notice but then mine came the other day and it was good.

Yep. I got mine this week as well. I'm pretty sure I'll be a subscriber for as long as it's around.......the timing was a touch nuts though, lol.

I have a quick question on the mag. At the end of most of the tests, it tells you to go to their web site for more pictures. Anybody have a clue where those pictures might be? I have scoured the web site and yet to find any pictures of the boats tested in the latest issue.

BTW, great to have it back, and like most of you, I got the renewal a couple of days before the magazine.

Just like the magazine, the website is playing a little catch up. More photos and info (via my blog) on the 32 Spectre will be up tomorrow and the PBM team is working on getting the 100's of extra photos from testing up online ASAP. Should be soon.

Got mine a few day's ago ,nice to see it back . But I think I will just buy mine at the news stand !!! Still sore from the last few subscription's I paid for.
