I wonder if that was taken to be used in the "Miami Vice" movie. Remember that a big part was cut out or something.

scarab63 11-07-2011 06:50 PM

Wow those cats were running lose

lightning jet 11-07-2011 06:56 PM

A lot of that is from Destin in 06......Joker's penthouse had the same veiw as the choppers lol

Bullhead 11-07-2011 06:57 PM

I think that was from the OSS World championships in Destin Florida a few years ago......they had a plane with a high def camera mounted underneath it.....there was live footage from the plane being broadcast on a huge screen on the beach....really cool setup

chris@uga 11-07-2011 07:00 PM

That big red cat was doing work!

Racerngr1 11-07-2011 07:44 PM

Yeah, that red Reliable boat was way out of shape!

GLH 11-07-2011 07:49 PM

I can't believe it's been that long. Pretty sure John Haggin set everyting up if I remember?

That was one of the best races I've watched. The combination of watching the race from the balcony combined with watching it live on TV was awesome!:coolcowboy:

pstorti 11-07-2011 08:17 PM

that was an incredible set of camera work, they have some fantastic equipment

Cash Bar 11-07-2011 08:22 PM

Glad they found a way to repost it. I watched that often til the azzhats from EMI had it removed for the music.

Ron P 11-07-2011 09:03 PM

Thank John Haggin for that production. It was the best ever, belly cam in the plane and a chopper with front pod mounted camera, all sent LIVE to 12'x12' screens in the pits and on the beach.

offshorexcursion 11-07-2011 09:15 PM

Wow, Wow and WOW! I love that video! Thanks for sharing

SHARKEY-IMAGES 11-07-2011 09:21 PM

I know I have posted that video more than once, but it never hurts to look at it again .... :drink:

Thanks to Haggin for cutting the check.

And thanks to AVS for such a great production.

Let's not forget, these guys did this race on a LIVE FEED edit. It was certainly challenging, but they are used to doing the Superbowl so I am sure they didn't even break a sweat.

Have a look at behind the scenes:

Same video uploaded under a different title by someone else. The link I have in my video Gallery is now showing it as being blocked most likely due to the music on the video.

The same cat is displayed on my post.

More than likely the owner of AVS was there and in my Gallery should be a picture of him as I tried to get a photo of everyone involved with that production in Destin, Fl . I think it is still the best footage and editing I have ever seen of offshore racing.

As the saying goes "Loose is fast". If you're in it to win it, it's balls to the walls racing:coolcowboy:

CigDaze 11-08-2011 06:58 AM

Wow. Awesome! That's some of the best boat racing video footage and editing I've ever seen. That's PRO.
