Second effort was an outboard engine company owned and run by Gary Gabrecht in central Florida.

Gary was the man behind the Mercury Racing team of the 70's and was the first partner with Reggie when they started Fountain Powerboats. He later ran Aronow Powerboats after Don was Killed. Plus he was a partner with Aronow in the development of an Unlimited race boat powered with Keith Black engines.

In short, the man knew his way around high performance frontwards and backwards. You have some very good engines...problem may be finding anyone who knows how to work on them or have parts for them

Back in the mid 90's, I had some OMC/Second Effort stern drives in need of parts. Mastry Engine in St Pete had bought out all the Second Effort inventory. They had the parts I needed, still might have stuff left.
