1 Attachment(s)
HERE'S A PIC OF MY 1988/2002 SCARAB PANTHER....
I WENT WITH SOMETHING ORIGINAL LIKE FLAMES.. MAYBE NOT ORIGINAL, BUT DEFINITELY DIFFERENT..I'M STILL NOT SURE ABOUT THE RADAR ARC, I JUST ADDED IT. BUT I THINK IT COMPLETES THE LOOK.. MY SCARAB PANTHER IS POWERED BY TWIN HIGHLY MODIFIED 502'S.. I HAVE RECEIVED SO MANY GOOD IDEAS FROM ALL OF THE PEOPLE IN THESE FORUMS.. THANKS FOR THE GREAT INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINING READING...... |
Looks wild man! Good job! :D
|
love the paint but I think the arch makes the boat look shorter but I sure you don't give a rats a$$ what I think
|
MILORD,
THANKS FOR THE COMPLEMENT |
Looks great!!!! Nice update!!!! :D
|
29OUTLAW,
I THINK YOUR RIGHT ABOUT THE THE LENGTH.. I WILL PROBABLY RUN IT FOR THE REST OF THE SUMMER AND THEN TAKE IT OF BEFORE NEXT YEAR... I JUST WANTED THE BOAT TO BE DIFFERENT.... |
Arches can compliment or detract from a boats appearance. In this case I think the arch adds balance. I'd keep it, but that's just my opinion:D
|
I love flames!! It's hard tobeat a really good flame job, look how long they have been around on hot rods!
As far as the arch, ask Lutz Party, ya gotta have someplace for the dancing pole, don't ya?:D |
Keep the arch. It also gives you something to attach the stripper pole to. If you need pictures, check out the LOTO pics. It will give you good advice on how to install, and the proper use of the pole.:D
|
SummerObsession, you and I think alike!:D
|
WANTED:

I believe Audiofn is the resident pole expert.
That didn't sound good did it?:p :D |
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole, pun intended.
|
|
Nice Rig, man!
Love the paint job. |

I'M TURNING ABOUT 5500- 5600 RPM... HERE'S THE BACK AND FRONT VEIW...... |
COOL, Sweet paint. The first time you smoke your head on that arch, it will be gone... If you're not going to put a radar on it what's it good for? My .02
Paul |
I DEFINITELY HAVE TO GET A POLE NOW THANKS TO THE
LINKS PROVIDED BY: SUMMEROBSESSION |
Very nice paint! Not a big fan of the arch, though.
|
Give credit where credit is due!
The link is compliments of the lovely and VERY talented MissAmy! Oh yeah, and some lucky guy called LutzParty, I think.:D |
Looks GREAT !!!!
DL:D |
Are you and Adam going to volunteer to do my boat next?
(I say "volunteer" on purpose -- how long do you think the "possum cops" are going to ignore you in THAT. Then you'll be wantin' ME to volunteer!) |
way to go
Looks GREAT!:D
Ah, matching trailer, too! GOOD JOB! |
LEAVE THE ARCH!!!!!!!!!
LOOKS AWESOME WITH IT paint is incredible too these guys this day and age are too warped into NO ARCH anymore Hell Cig offers the TOP GUN with an arch if Cig can say Yeah we will throw one on, then any boat out there can as well. I have one and I would NEVER take it off Need something to dry the wet towels and stuff of and keep out of your way LOL Plus I just yanked off the radar and stuff off of mine cause i hated how that Raytheon scanner unit looked up there. KEEP THE ARCH Jason |
LOVE the flames!!!!!!!1 nuthin cooler than flames!!!!
Lose the arch:( That Panther has way to pretty lines to change |
flames
Great flames 'burner..
What do the decals on the front windshield say?? marc |
duh...
SCARAB

The winshield say's "SCARAB" ON TOP OF SILVER DIAMOND PLATE. GIVES IT A RUGGED LOOK....
|
Great looking boat, but I never have understood the concept of "roll bars" on boats.:D
|
Looks good!

You will love the flames. I did mine about 3 years ago and couldn't be happier. They draw alot of attention and compliments and kids go nutty when the see it like it is a giant hot wheels. Everyone can spot you miles away. The only drawback is the cops can spot you from a mile away too.

B R S,
NICE BOAT,I LOVE YELLOW AND RED COMBO.... |
On that boat as far as the arch is concerned it could stay or go. It probably does make it look a little shorter to have it on there. However it does kind of look good on that boat.
Nice job on the pait. I know it is a lot of work!!! As far as the pole. The team that designed it and came up with the ideas were Myself, Wally, Waterfoul, and Lutz. Waterfoul and Wally came up with the idea. I designed and had made the bottom mount and Lutz and I while walking around in West Marine at LOTO found the way to hold the top in place. Currently all pictures of the rigging are strickly classified on a need to know basis only :D:D Jon |
Great custom look! May I ask,
What kind of paint? What kind of prep work? Approx what did it cost without the graphics? |
TOOOO H O T !
;)
|
PAINT: I USED DUPONTE PAINT WITH IMMRON CLEAR
CLEAR IS ABOUT $155 GALLON I USED 2 GALLONS I THINK I HAD ABOUT 1000 DOLLARS IN PAINTS AND SUPPLYS FOR THE BOAT AND THE TRAILER...... AS FAR AS PREP: SAND,SAND, AND MORE SANDING.... THEN PAINT PRIMER AND SAND SOME MORE.... HAD TO PAINT THE WHOLE BOAT WHITE BEFORE I COULD PAINT THE YELLOW... IT WAS ALOT OF WORK BUT WELL WORTH THE IT... |
