What do you guys think of the faux teak look in the cockpit of a hiperf boat???

I dont know why, but in my mind I also think the teak compliments certain colors or visa versa.
I.e. blues, teals, white
And clashes with reds, yellows, oranges, purples.
Could just be because I usually see these color non perf boats with wood though.

Hull has to have classic lines and a simple yet tasteful paint job. An example would be Cigarette's Top Fish Center console. I saw a pick of one with a single color hull (red) and tan vinyl seats and the teak floor. It looked very classy, yet maintained a sporty look.

Didn't the Playboy Cig's have a teak floor? I think on the right boat it looks awesome. I LOVE the teak on the old school Mistresses etc. My 24 Cig had an all teak dash and trim, got compliments everywhere I went because it was so different in a performance boat.

As others have stated, it is unbearably hot in the sun. Since you are asking about its use in a high performance boat, I would be curious as to how much it weighs per linear foot.
