Wow, i didn't know that was your boat, ive watched this video several times. What happened to the boat after that horrible day ?

It was rebuilt and runs till this day in Ottawa.

It started its life before I changed it to 2 900s as a tripple O/B boat.

We cut the whole back off of it and rebuilt the back end of it.

Interesting layout; learn something new everyday.

Alec, what do you attribute to the cause of the swim?

We were going about 90 in 5ft toilet water. No even wind direction or waves.

Landed on one drive and it corkscrewed us into the water ( port to starboard.)

1 passenger ( driver) had arm sewn back on.
I lost use of right arm permanently and broke my back getting hauled out of water by police.

Lawsuits totalled 7.2 million.

Settled for peanuts.

Went from that to 32 skater with triples and then 43 NT with 1075s and now 36 NT with 700s

Im glad the boat still runs today and was rebuilt.. I couldn't believe it when I first watched it on youtube, w/ the actual footage part. the water conditions looked very rough, and you can see that Fountain throwing up life vests and getting everyone in his boat.. Gave me chills, just watching it, seeing the 377 belly up..

What speeds did you have it running with the x2 900's?

I have had the pleasure of High Stakes driving by me while we were WOT at 73 mph (in an old 88 Chris Craft lmao) on a couple of occasions now.

141-143 ???

Cant remember exactly.
All I know is I put a ton of hours on it and attended PR all over the place in it.
Towed it to Reggies once for a run.
Skater rebuilt the bottom on it once about half way through the years I had it.
Put 100 plus hrs on it every season.

RR did all the work on it and RR rebuilt it after it flipped.

It started its life as a boat named "BORDERLINE" out of the north east US area.

I remember seeing when the current owner brought the boat to town, seeing all the glass work to be done and then sending it back to Double R to rig it. Was really impressed with the finished results.

Are those the same mufflers/exhaust you ran on it? I always thought it had a really interesting sound. Very unique which I like.

Didn't think it was 140 mph with the 900's though. I remember watching Lawrasons and Even More Disturbing Behavior running with it, wish I had a photo of it.

I can't remember if you had one of your Nortech's present that year, though I'm sure I've passed you on the dock before.

Photo of it running this year, best I could camera is only 5mp. Didn't resize it so I left it as a hyper link.
