Route 66" HYDROPLANE RACING on youtube
If you like old school racing this Route 66" HYDROPLANE RACING episode is it. This was shot at St Petersburg Fl in 1963. The double cockpit hydro filmed here was the Miss Tempo belonging to Guy Lomardo the band leader. Lombardo would later sell this hydro and it became the first Miss Budweiser of Bernie Little.
At the 1966 Presidents Cup race @ Washington D.C. Miss Buds driver Don Wilson was killed [driving this hydro] when he was hit by the Noter Dame hydro driven by Rex Manchester who also was killed.. The Miss Bud was destroyed.

Very cool! Love that old stuff. Didn't realize how big those V-12's were until I was in Ken Warbys basement bar one time and he had a piston as an ash tray. He owned one of the piston driven Miss Budwiesers as a toy for a while until seeing how fragile those motors were in that configuration.
That show did another episode where they were racing for the McCulloch O/B factory team.
How many stop to realize where we started and how we got to where we are today?
