I'll be the first person to say, i hate rules, however After boating now for 15 years, I wish they would have those fines in Lake st clair. The fact is, 90% of the boaters where i live don't even know what stand on, give way vessel means. Our coast guard spends most of the time assisting with idiots who were not prepaired. This shouldn't be there job. If everyone had a marine radio, life jackets, compass, and maintained the rules of the water while driving, It would be a much safer place. For 90% of those rules, They shouldn't be rules, they should be common sense.
