Is Stainless Marine the only manufacturer?

Why are they so expensive???

Any used ones for sale? ...or trade for some Hydromotive props (http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...v-22p-l-r.html)?

Here's what I found for prices on the Stainless Marine "4 track" (trim & drives):

CP Performance: $759.99
Diamond Performance: $799.00
Stainless Marine: $849.00
Monster Marine: $1149.00

I want to make room on my dash panel to flush mount the Garmin.

SS marine requires a lot of room under them too! more than on top! If these are not mounted at eye level or higher...as in sit down boat. they are a waste of money because you will not utilize their accuracy. SSM also make a LED in dash set too which i have rigged with in the past and loved because the LED jumps out at you and they work in extreme sunlight and at night time.
Livorsi Marine are great for 99% of all applications! even race!

Cool - were you able to use your existing cables or did you need to re-cable everything?

Rottiguy 12-07-2011 05:32 PM

I used the cables I had. Make sure you have plenty of room under your dash, they are very long

How long? Pic?

make sure you tell them at SSM (wherever you're buying them) what cables you have. they have different adaptors from their cables. using teleflex morse cables requires a bunch more room at the bottom and to make the turn. SSM cables are more like a bicycle cable and can turn a bit sharper too.

You can build it up a bit if you need to make room or bring it to more of an eye level. I attached a couple pics of the Apache so you can see what I am talking about. They are worth the money...very easy to read... you can stripe them for indicating dead level just like on the laydown surface indicators.
