How is this Dave?
Sorry it took me an extra day but I had a paying job come in! ;) The outline doesnt look very impressive by itself but it looks great once colored in! What formats do you want the files in? Give me your email and I will send them along http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i4...ss/outline.jpg Dave- the trace program in Flexi8 is pretty good- have you tried the bezier function? Another trick you can do when trying to vectorize from a jpeg is to convert to cmyk and try tracing from one of the layers. |

Nice work. Curious about the amount of editing on it, but that thing looks ready. If that's the raw result of your trace program, then I am really curious. :drink:

Jay i have messed around with the trace feature in Flexi and yes its the best out of all the programs. Truth be told though i have almost no experience working with bitmaps. Just about everything i do is raw vector from scratch. I have had a little luck with some less complicated stuff in trace but this one stumped me because of how low resolution the original was. I am amazed how well 502 was able to do this. The facial details were not coming through in what i was doing and on these they are perfectly preserved. Got a chance to add it to the rest of the logo i was working on, looks good. Ryan if you need the whole nickle i can send it to you. |
yea Dave shoot it to me in an .AI file if you have a chance.
It was nice speaking to you last nite, glad to hear that you are busy! |
on its way, good talkin to you to Ryan. Have a good Christmas and your traditional New Years Eve fun run. Gonna hafta make that one day :drink:

Anyone know any history on the origin of the design?
|
according to ancient folklore . . . . it was based on an Indian head nickle . . . . and some say the face is of Bobby Saccenti
