Yeah I know of JP from the old street racing in TR..Good old days..
I have owned the boat since 10/2008 and ran it all season 2009 bone stock (56mph, 330hp 454, TRS drive). Then winter of 2009 excalibur82 and I did the Bravo converstion (BIG THANKS to Rob he is the man!!!!!!!!!!!!) and I in the summer of 2010 built a 509 with used iron heads. Got it all ready to use in this past summer 2011 and had about 12 hours of run time when the exhaust seat fell out of the used iron head on the motor. Two weeks later after the dropped valve seat I built a 515 with dart pro 1's and used it that way the rest of the summer. Its going to stay just the way it ran last summer and hope to have a 2012 summer with no problems..

That was my cig... Good times! You did have a mile or two on me, but very cool race. My boat is cleaner though.:lolhit: Your boat definitely sounds better in person than on youtube. Im sure i'll see on the lake. Good luck dialing in your boat.

540 Merlin motor and Merlin grumpy jenkins heads, dynoed 665 hp 700 ft lb torque. I got 88 mph out of it spinning a 30p bravo at 5400 rpm. Sold the boat to a friend of mine this spring with only dyno time on new motor and he says he got 90.3 on gps. Only difference between old motor and new besides a freshen up was a change to BG 850...down size from 1050 dominator.

Smarty, ever on the Great Egg Harbor Bay or Egg Harbor River? How about AC or Brigantine? Can't say I've ever seen your boat around.

I did not get out last year in the Phantom at all, due to a variety of reasons, none due to the boat. Used to put in at Kent's Marina in Egg harbor Twp. (for the Ocean to Brigintine or Sea Isle run), or at Barber's Basin when going in the Chesapeake.

Many years ago always spent time at the cove in Brigintine after leaving the Egg Harbor river. The past few years were primarily the Chesapeake, and only once thus far has the Phantom been to Hargrove's Marina in Bellmawr (southern NJ) off of Big Timber Creek.

The Phantom has only been in the water five times in the past two years, which would explain not seeing me. If the boat doesn't sell, I plan on using it this summer. Maybe I will see you.

And the boat did not always have these graphics, it was all-white before the red graphics. And for many years prior to that I used to boat with my father in a yellow 27' Magnum. I get around, just not as often I as I would like.

PS The picture of the Phantom under my name was taken at Corson's Inlet (Ocean City NJ).

There was a red 29' Activator that used to launch at Shady River Marina on the Egg Harbor. Is that the boat your talking about?

No. It is not red, it is orange, and I would imagine the Activator I am referring to runs 95-100 mph, or more (just a guess), the Chesapeake guys would know for sure (BJ's boat).

i heard that boat was fast, didn't know was that fast.very impressive from a non-step boat.my boat is also non-step,light & narrow boat.im pretty sure im not near 90.i would like to see if i could stay with him on acceleration. i know my boat is not the fastest out there but i just have lots of fun running other boats win or lose its it all fun to me.
