So like a normal day on the great lakes?

A good friend of mine delivers boats. Last year they got a job to deliver a 30ish foot cabin cruiser from Fort Myers to BVI. They hoped to do the trip in 2 weeks or so....ended up taking almost 3 months! Bad weather, mechanicial issues, clearance issues - you name it and it went wrong. At one point mechanical problems left them stranded on one of the more isolated islands of the Bahamas. A mechanic and parts had to be flown in from Miami. Sounds like a great adventure but if it were me I would ship and live to boat another day

Congrats on the purchase by the way...enjoy it!
