It's a shame. Just another example of how bad the nighttime+high speed+alcohol equation can be. I met JJ years ago in the CART series. He was a really nice guy, but I suppose anyone can make a bad choice.

Wow. He was my driving teamate in the BMW V-12 LMR's in the American LeMans series. I love boating more than anything and I now have a boat that goes close to 180 mph, and it's scary how your life can change in an instant. It's always in the back of my mind that something could go wrong, and lately it's been something that weighs on my mind. You always tell yourself i'm just gonna take it easy before the weekend then another boat pulls up and the throttles always seem to fall forward. Maybe when the tragedy strikes someone else close to you it's the knock on the head I needed. I guess I need to buy some new oars for my new boat.
