I sent Byng an email about needing a seal for the end of my port side steering cylinder and he let me know that they are closed... man, thats too bad.:(

Does anyone know what they are doing with any leftover stock? I would like to buyone of those sockets that go on the strainer lids that doesn't scar them up.

I'd send Byng an email and find out.. he mentioned he has some spare parts, but I don't know what he's got yet.



He asked if I could have my cylinder seal repaired locally, and I'll check around to find out. If I can't come up with anything, I'm sure he'll have a suggestion for me.

As far as I know according to Byng he is still selling items but just got rid of the overhead of the store front. Since steering systems are becoming obsolete these days I would imagine that the rest of his products don't justify a store front!!!

I tried to buy a set of sea strainers from him about a month ago. He didn't have a match set, I knew that it was probably the end. He also said he wouldn't be getting anymore. Sad to see it happen.

Yes, Mayfair is owned by Hardin Marine. I had them quote some rams for me last week.

According to this thread, if you are a business owner you should say you are closing then everyone will want to buy all of a sudden.

Does anyone have a good source to provide complete rebuilds of Marine Machine cyls including polishing? They offered the complete service.....
