Thanks Matt, I just thought it would be upper 90's with either the Mercury or Ilmor 700 packages. Guess that model is more of a Mercedes than a Ferrari.

Yeah but for some reason they aren't any faster than the Merc 700's. Sunsation found this out in their F4, boat does burn less fuel than with 700's. Sunsation built a light cabin (no liner, no frill PR interior) on their Ilmor boat to better balance the lack of transom weight as well. They also built a 28 with a single 625 Ilmor that went to Greece.

Taking 600 pounds out of the back of a boat will have a huge effect. If the boat is properly rebalanced, or is tail-heavy to start with, it should run well.

The 43 Sunsatiom with Ilmors is faster then their 43 700 Merc boats.
