I got your back, Scott. Here are the photos. The boys on the shop floor are not wasting any time. Based on the location of the transom assemblies, it looks like the X-dimension looks like it's going to be "up there"...

Why are the tabs mounted FLAT and not at the hull bottom angle? |
Reggie told them to mount them that way. :evilb:
Apparently, Formula changed to mounting them flat several years ago, after they built our boats. Do I see about a bazillion underwater lights on the transom? |
I'll have to check on the "lights." With all that metal hanging of the back, that might be a Mercathode thing, too.

[QUOTE=ILMORdude;3607313]Where is this beauty going to reside? The big 400 lives up north in Charlevoix,
Lake Powell in the summer and Scottsdale Arizona in the winter. Looking forward to those Ilmors! I am guessing I will lose some power at Lake Powell since it is about 3700 ft. In elevation. |

You mean the FIRST Ilmor 400SS....
I have a 400 with 525s. I take it you have been in or around 400s with both 525s and the Ilmors. Any thoughts on the differences other than pure power. Fuel consumption? Noise? Everyday useability? Maintenance? 62-63 mph seems fine until threads like this pop up! Thanks, Jim |
