Best portable battery jump pack / jump box / jumpbox ?
Any ideas? Seems like none of them hold up real well. Thanks.

have had real good luck with jumpncarry jnc 660. they can be ordered from autozone, DON'T buy one that they stock (junk). they have an exellent warranty. snap-on and matco also have some good ones, but pricey.

we use my friends snap on. as mentioned pricey.

There is a Sears DieHard one that I have been eyeing online for a while. It seems as though as soon as you get into a big power one that can start a BBC or Diesel engine, they want to cram light boxes and air compressors into the same package. I don't want that crap, just want a jump-box. I had an off-brand one that would start my HP500EFI a few years ago, jump-box only. But I loaned it out and never got it back.
I too look forward to everyone else's responses. |
Just be sure to check the manufacture date, I have seen some battery powered stuff at Pep Boys type stores that are on the shelf 18+ months!

I use a Black&Decker from Walmart, has held up fine for about 5 years now, but blew the compressor part last week trying to fill a truck tire, Jump section still works fine.

Any experience with Wagan? They were written up in Dec Powerboat Mag. My friend is interested in them and got me thinking - looks nice to have.

I bought a black and decker w the air compressor. I thought i would not need the compressor option until my wifes car picked up a nail and was flat in the driveway. The jump pack seems a little weak though.
