I have a local guy wanting to sell me one.

Does anyone have Good or Bad talk about these.?????

He had it on a 29ft Donzi. I need one for my 30ft Awesomecat with three motors.

In Montreal, we have to remove everything out of the water before winter so I am looking for something easy to remove each year.
Plus at the end of the year, I only have about 3ft of water.
Would this work for my tunnel boat?
Would love to get her completely out of the water instead of parked on the dock.

Are they good or bad? :readinghelp:

I think they are for deep V's , guessing if they did make for cats it would be different.
I have also been thinking about one, all I read seems good.
Good Luck =)

STV92, we make them for tunnel hulls/cats but they are a different configuration (as TCG suggests). We have sold Air-Docks for many performance cats up to 40' and Vs up to 51'.

I will give you "footnotes" to what I have read-

Good- Inexpensive, relatively quick, easy to deflate, inflator is compact and easy to operate, no contact moisture issues as some might assume

Bad- Requires user to manually insure boat is level. Have read stories of boats being left bow high on lift and sinking after heavy rain  but no proof or pictures

When I first saw it I thought of how tippy a human is on a floating lounge, however it seems to have many happy users out there. I think when ever you have an item that requires the user to acutally think you are going to get some bad press. For me, I need full auto, I can imagine inflating that thing level at 2 am drunk :)

Ken185 12-28-2011 12:37 PM

Yes, we have thousands of happy customers out there; and a few who who operate it drunk, or like they are drunk :) . Seriously; we go out of our way to help customers use them properly but I guess you just can’t win em all! If you’ve ever operated one you would know that leveling is very easy – but you must have your eyes open!!

When used properly they are very stable. We have stories of boats being saved by our lifts in storms while others around them sank.
