Default Miami boat show help?

A small group of us are going to trailer our bikes down from Michigan. I've never been to to the boat show or even Miami. Will we find someplace to park the truck and trailer in Miami, or should we ride into Miami on bikes? Where does everyone stay during the show?

Default Truck parking

Miami Beach at show time is a zoo. I'd park North of Miami and ride in. If one of you owns a South Florida built boat, maybe that builder would let you park at their facility. If there is enough of you, sometimes a hotel will accommodate your truck and trailer to get your booking. That's not likely to work on Miami Beach, but could in North Miami or on up toward Ft. Lauderdale. Just some thoughts...

Good luck! The show is worth seeing!

1. No truck/trailer parking anywhere on Miami Beach (anywhere you would want to leave it for days without it disappearing, Black Thunder lost a tow vehicle/trailer a few years back).
2. If you ride to the actual show they have motorcycle parking right at the entrance, no problem there. Tons of people walking around so the bikes should stay put while you are at the show.
3. Some great hotels within walking distance of the convention center but they can be pricey that week.

You might park them at the Fort Lauderdale airport in remote parking. There is large vehicle parking at the Miami Seaquarim, but its definately a knarly area.

When you park, pull all of the fuses to disable starting the truck. Chances are the thieves are not walking around with a pocket full of fuses.

How big of a trailer/truck?

Get crackin on a hotel. Theyre already a bit pricey and getting scarce.
