From what I understand, SF has really 4 plans, or companies to insure you with:

1. Assigned Risk, (your screwed, and the the state forces us to insure you, which we will make you pay dearly for).

2. "Moderate", (you don't have the best record, but we'll take care of you, and you'll pay for it).

3. "Average", (you have cleaned up your act, and deserve a break today; don't ask about tomorrow).

4. Mutual, (you have a great record, and somebody has paid a lot of money to keep your record that way. i.e. Britain Babe, her ex was a cop, and her Dad has a great lawyer).

I used to be on plan 1 years go after I was arrested for 140+ in a 45 zone. I was paying more for insurance than I was for the Trans Am. For the past few years, I have been on plan 2; and today, I was just lifted to plan 3. Again, today was a good day.

Default 1 More update today!!!

My State Farm agent called me today. They went ahead and wrote the new boat policy for me anyhow, just to see how the numbers stacked up. They were able to get me a$250 deductible across the board, same rates and coverages as N.M.U.; ( N.M.U. has a $530 deductible across the board though), for get this:
$480 ANNUALLY. I already bought the N.M.U. policy for $638! I am confident that I made the right decision for non-volatile coverage going with N.M.U., although I told my S.F.agent today, that I will pissing and moaning if I have to make a claim and pay twice the deductible that I would be if I was with S.F. Anyhow, so far State Farm has REALLY come through for me lately, but I am going to stick with what I know is solid, at least for the next year.
