Outboards Only

With the CC market taking off. Do we need an Outboard Only section. I don't know if there would be enough conversation to justify it's own section. What do we think?

2 Trick Rick 12-30-2011 06:02 AM

We have one, its called scream and fly..:lolhit:

While I agree Scream and Fly is great, they are mostly sub 20 footers.

KEVLARKAT32 12-30-2011 07:26 AM

That site blows , i'm positive it is run by Hitler !!!!! Over here we can pretty much do what we want , S&F is run by the Nazi's

letterrip 12-30-2011 07:36 AM

Maybe tell the mods to start a section called "Center Console Corner"
A section etc....

there are many of us on here that have these boats...

KEVLARKAT32 12-30-2011 07:56 AM

Also a HP OB section . When I get over 65 maybe then I will drive a CC

Wow, sounds like you have S&F confused with Bass Boat Central. Now that place is run by Hitler. :drink:

There is a lot of good information over there, but just like any public forum, you gotta weed thru the BS to find the good info.

TexomaPowerboater 12-30-2011 08:09 AM

+1 Good idea. I would add another section to the Technical forums, specifically for outboard topics. We have them for fiberglass, sterndrives, and motors. Would be a valuable add on IMO and would appeal to more sponsors.

Outboard site on OffshoreOnly :evilb::evilb::drink::drink:

S&F has a pretty good technical section on O/B motors. Regardless whether its sub 20 ft boats, I'v found good info on the 300xs that's relevant to my 30ft.

KEVLARKAT32 12-30-2011 11:19 AM

They do but the site owner is a hand job

waterboy222 12-30-2011 11:52 AM

Would LOVE to have an OB section here. They are getting more and more popular!

Toffen 12-30-2011 12:10 PM

Hi!

Great:)

Cheers, Toffen

BillR 12-30-2011 12:32 PM

Love to see outboards and / or Center Console section. They are getting REAL popular!

BL6 12-30-2011 07:24 PM

Go Fast Center Consoles.....it's the next thing!

Double Rigged 12-30-2011 07:40 PM

Outboard section would be good. There is good info on S@F but most are kids and they do not like mst guys if your boat is bigger than 20'.

Beak Boater 12-31-2011 05:43 AM

Their is also the Hull Truth, its mostly fishing but 90% outboard, and CC.

Toffen 12-31-2011 06:14 AM

Hi,

I have only good experiences with S&F. Lots of help with my two strokes. But they are not that interested in 4 strokes since they are orientated around mostly smaller boats - less than 25 feet. TheHullTruth is also great:)

Cheers, Toffen

Thehulltruth is a great site but there's alot of gloom and doom types over there...you know one little stress crack in your boat and the core is soaked and the boat needs to be junked...if you can deal with that then your OK....I agree there should be an outboard section over here....:hitit:

ROADHOG 12-31-2011 06:30 AM

That's what I'm hoping for. A more insightful point of view of outboards with performance minded people. If there is a way to make a Stock Outboard, or CC go faster than factory SPECS, it should come out on OSO. There are too many Gear Heads on here to leave well enough alone!!

With a 32 Skater, you should be able to do more than 65 lol Happy New Year

pullmytrigger 01-01-2012 01:59 PM

yeah I could see this coming.....I guess Im just not old enough to get the CC thing but if everyone wanted a forum for them it wouldnt bother me......be a place for the retirees to go:drink::drink::drink:

mlb75 01-01-2012 02:06 PM

I'd love to see a section for outboards. There is talk about them here but it's spread all over the place.

ROADHOG 01-01-2012 02:14 PM

Don't have to be old to appreciate a CC. The owner of the 48ZR1 MTI has a CC Top Fish with 4 ( count them ) 350 HP Verado's. He has seen 85MPH with a boat load of people.

letterrip 01-01-2012 02:25 PM

If you love boating... ( faster than a crusier or barge ) then having both styles make it all that much better..!!

For what its worth... I Still think is should be center consoles for 1 section
And a outboard section both under a sub catergory...

There is toooo much performance in these areas to not cover them.

Toffen 01-01-2012 02:34 PM

Hi!

Outboards are much more than CC's. No offense!

Cheers, Toffen

bwd 01-01-2012 02:39 PM

Not for nothing, but the scariest, most exciting ride I ever took was with an outboard.

Sick Stinger 01-01-2012 08:29 PM

Im a CC O/B guy they are very versitile plain and simple.

boater777777 01-01-2012 09:21 PM

Clamp-on corner. sounds good to me. I like mine .

modvp 01-02-2012 06:54 AM

I would really welcome an outboard section here too.
