Default Price on new Ford F-350?

Just gave my 1999 Buick Regal GS to my daughter. I need to buy something to drive. The wife says "Dually". I never though I would want one, but after driving several over the last couple of weeks, I have come to love them.

Alright guys, is this dealer giving me the right deal?

New 2002, F-350 Crew Cab DRW LOADED to the MAX.

7.3L PSD, 4.10 Ratio, 4 x 4, with every option including heated captain's chairs, backup sensor and adjustable gas/brake pedal, etc, etc. I have found three that I like but this is the only one with the adjustable pedals and the wife is only 5'4" and it is great for her.

Truck List's for $44,120.00. The invoice shows Plan A price at $37076.80. The dealer told me to make him an offer, so I low balled at $36,000. He came back with $38,598.00 and I can take off another $1000 rebate or elect to go with a low finance rate.

Of course tax and tag are extra. What is the best deal I should be able to make on this truck?

Mark

Hey Mark, That looks like a pretty good deal. I was looking at them the other day and that is around the best price i could get. I am actually thinking about selling my 2001 f250 4x4 for a dually 4x4. I personally think they are awesome trucks and i love mine. I have a bunch of friends that have duallys and love them. Good luck

Also does that truck have 'EVERYTHING ' CAmper and towing package , 674 suspension upgrade trailer tow mirrors ,limited slip rear etc.? Is it a lariet ? If it is the lariet ,in 2002 that 674 suspension should be standard on it .BUt check ! ALso I wouldn't get the 4.10's unless you pull a 42' cigarette every day ! Get the 3.73 rears trust me ! That's all you need and you'll get much better mileage !

Go for it. If you can get that close to the A/Z plan price, do it.

Post Friend @ Gene Evans Ford...

Baja Boss, I have a friend @ Gene Evans Ford, and the dealership is ANXIOUS to move some vehicles. If you don't mind driving, you might give him a call. 770-964-9801, ask for David Murray, let him know what your looking for,(price, options etc...) and what your willing to pay. Tell him Tom Neal referred you. It's at least worth a phone call...

Mark...'Wild' who is an OSO member just purchased that identical truck and paid $37k after letting every dealer in St. Louis make him an offer. No trades...just outright purchase.
