Try the scream 'n fly forums- they cater to the outboard crowd and the liberator boats have a big following over there.

The guy who builds them is over there also. He builds a good boat and is a pretty (not looking) stand up guy :)

The guy that builds them is a dude named David Adams and he is in Crowley, Texas...about 10 miles South of Fort Worth. He use to build them in his back yard back in the late 70's and 80's. The guy in Florida just sells them. The 25 model is a copy from a Skater. There was alot of stink about that Skater that David popped a mold off of and I actually flew two insurance people from Kansas over his house several times so that they could take pictures. I heard several stories over the years about how the Skater was provided to get a plug off of it. I was told a few years ago that the 30 foot boat was also a Skater that had a mold popped off of it. The 21 foot pickle fork is an Eliminator. David went out to California and bought a bare hull, then brought it back and popped a mold off of that. The needle nose 18 foot Liberator is actually a mold popped off an old Star-Buck boat...same thing as an old Contender boat. I have only seen a few of those boats running a Mercruiser setup. Most are running clamp-ons and a few running jets. I use to hang out with David years ago and actually helped him build several boats. They are ok for what they are...I guess, but there has never been one brought to PowerBoat for the testing by Bob Teague...you can figure out why. I have seen advertising on YOU TUBE on several of them claiming big GPS numbers, but I dont really believe it. I dont have anything to do with him anymore and havent for years because of a business dealing with him that several of his other friends told me that I got screwed long and deep. Firendship was over at that point.

I am the Liberator-Checkmate dealer from Florida. I get the bare hulls from Dave in Texas and Checkmate in Ohio, then do my own thing on them. I do everything myself including paint. My website is http://liberatorfl.tripod.com. I am the guy from Scream and Fly also. As far as the GPS numbers, I can prove them all with pics or videos. Feel free to call anytime if you need more info. Thanx, Randy Corson 386-761-8050

This pic is from the GPS in my twin outboard 21 Liberator.

No offense to you, but I would have to see it in person to believe the speeds. If you are only getting a bare hill (hull and deck) and then you do everything else...you do very nice looking work. David screwed me over on a boat deal and I was over at his place all the time when I wasnt flying helping him...never asked for a dime from him for my work and then he jerked me off on a boat making the same deal to someone else that hardly ever came out to his place to help, but the other guy got a boat for a few thousand dollars difference. That ended the friendship right then and there. Watch your back. For many years, David NEVER went to a lake or almost anywhere else without his entourage with him. This was, according to some of his other friends that told me...for his protection.
What I said in the other post is all true, but I dont know the outcome of any of it. Just didnt care. The insurance people were after him because (I was told), the skater came from Lake Texoma and it was reported stolen. After the plug was made off of the skater, it was cut up. One of his buddies was telling me what was going on and I passed it on to the insurance investigators.

I am pretty much over being severely pissed off at him...just dont give a sh*t anymore, but I wont have anything to do with him either. You would think that there would be Liberators running all over the place out here...but they are not. There are some, but not very many. Good luck selling them and maybe take one to a Performance Boat testing. I would be interested in what they would have to say.

4 -5 foot waves in a 21 foot boat...tunnel or V-bottom...especially a Liberator and running 60-70 mph. Comeon dude...maybe 1 footers in a lake. Next thing you are going to tell us is that you have a "Johnson" big enough to make a horse hang its head in shame.

Your statement is a steaming pile of :poopoo:
