mercruiser inline 6cyl

can vintage 1970's mercruiser inline 6 cyl be mated to current alpha outdrives and transom shields? Found an old formula 233 would like to restore and update old drives.

That formula wouldn't happen to have a blue hull, and all teak interior....would it?
