yes i did.... took motor out on the 2nd of july.. had a piston next day aired from florida and ordered a set of rings.. was running on the 4th...
They are SRP forged pistons ( #138103) My uncle thought the piston looked like it failed for no reason ( weak part of the piston) and our 2 stroke buddy thought it looked like detonation, but all the others were fine.. and my timing was only 32 total with 89 octane... now i burn 94 octane just incase that was the problem... I have 12 hrs on it since i put the new piston in.. we are off to cumberland next monday the 29th and taking it with us.. I sure hope she don't break on me, i'l have every tool we have and all the parts, but its hard to fix a shortblock on the lake LOL! I am dead broke, $300 in my bank account, i can't take a nother failure of this .. that problem cost me... $157 for the piston, $137 for the rings, and my trim pump that week $125... Thats a months pay for me.. i am running low, make enough to just buy gas, thats it. .. ... I'l have a pic of the piston when i get a camera out...
