This summer we took 7 performance boats on a slalom run through the 1000 Islands from the Thousand Island Bridge, west to the backside of Grindstone Island. We had a "local" lead the pack and at times you could almost reach out and touch the pine tree covered rocks and islands we threaded through at speed. Simply exhilarating mixing speed and scenery! However, if you don't know the area, I wouldn't recommend it!

Our trip, in 1990, in my 1987 Century Palomino South on the Hudson River to New York City Harbor. The sights were completely spectacular! Going to do the trip this year in my Formula 260SS but am going to stay overnight.

Without question the 1200 mile run across the Caribbean with Bobthebuilder. Great Exuma to BVI.
Trip of a lifetime.

My favorite will always be my ride in the Statement 50' cat from Clearwater to Sarasota 2 years ago. I will never forget 160+ on the way home in Sarasota bay

It's hard to say as I have been lucky to have so many adventures. I just came back from 3 and a half months in South Florida going to a different coast/bay/river/lake/waterway every weekend So our trip to the Piece River, Charlotte Harbor, Lake June, Sebastion, Ft Pierce, Sarasota, Biscayne Key and Bay, Venice, Lake Isopoktoga, Miami, Estero Bay, Ft myers Beach, Okeechobee waterway east and west sides, Manatee River, and many of the Florida Keys was a hoot that we're still digesting. shew...

But Hematite reminded me of a very memorable trip on the Hudson River from Haverstraw down thru the city past "The Statue" out into the Atlantic. Back into Liberty landing Marina to meet friends on the Poker Run and fuel up. Then blasting back up the river(the east river was closed for a body removal... no chit) to Newburg to eat, drink and then sleep on the boat. Woke up to watch the PR guys blast the GW bridge about 5 years ago. The pic my wife took of me driving by the statue is still one of my favorites

Good times...

I've boated all over this country with my boats, and the through the graciousness of friends here on OSO as a guest...

...but FAR and away best trip we took was a Thursday afternoon thru Monday afternoon, up the Chesapeake Bay; from the mouth of the Potomac River, all the way to Baltimore, and back. We stopped in Kent Island (Red Eyes), St. Michaels, Solomons Island, Baltimore (Inner Harbor), and maybe a couple other places. The trip was roughly 20 boats, 1 couple per boat, ranging from 29 Fountain to 43BT.

We keep talking about making this happen again; hopefully this summer. The trip mostly comprised of members from the Richmond Power Boat Association.
