The run to Put-in-Bay from north Lake St. Clair is my favorite run. It's especially great when we don't run into rough water and can cruise 60-70 mph with some blasts over 80. It's about a 160 mile round trip for me. The first leg is crossing St. Clair to Detroit, Then the run down the Detroit River. A lot of people don't know how beautiful the lower river is. Then we have a break at the Detroit River Light before shooting across the end of Lake Erie.

Wow! That WOULD be the trip of a lifetime. What kind of boats are those 5 OBs at the front of pic 3?

My favourite trip of all time was this past fall. Went from the mouth of the Niagara river on lake Ontario to Palm beach gardens. Stopped in Montreal for 4 days, Quebec city for 4 days, and then Noank CT for a week. Took almost a month total. Just about 2600 mile trip at 13kts.

When I was young (10yrs old) I took a trip with my father and his former boss. We started at Ft Myers, headed East and went through the canals to Lake Okeechobee and up the coast to Hilton Head on a 43' Grand Banks (comfy!). That was a trip that has stuck with me to this day. Really good memories.

I've been itching to make another trip like that.....

Last summer I ran from Traverse Bay to Charlevoix in my 25' Outlaw, most memorable trip in my short boating career. Being a few miles off shore in Lake Michigan was a pretty cool feeling, we ran in decent sized rollers the whole way which was a blast. Far and away my favorite trip so far......
