No water psi?
Drove a 2006 velocity 390 yesterday. Stagered merc 525 efi with xr drives and 6 blade herring props. Boat was flawless except for no water pressure registering on either gauge. No temp issues whatsoever, is this a impeller issue or someone has suggested it is a small clogged hose?

Probably not hooked up
Factory engines? |
Factory motors no issues other than no psi

agree.

Agree, but more importantly- How did the boat run? :coolcowboy:

Boat ran great, hit 88 and stil had more to go. Kenny from velocity is a pleasure to deal with and went the extra mile for me .

:lolhit:If your looking at buying this boat? Must be fixed by them. Thats easy.

Clogged on both motors?
possible I guess,,,,, boat have sea strainers??? the 525 pulls water pressure off the cooler on the back of the motor for the guage if it has it,,,,look for a hose there,,,,should be in a fitting with a temp send unit on it also. |
Nevermind. Not enough coffee yet.........

The PSI can be verified with a scanner. Got smartcraft? It's a worthwhile investment. My 525 seems to peg my guage at speed.

This post is too easy to answer. Obviously the engines are getting and developing enough water pressure to run correctly and not set of "guardian" if the water pressure was low or non-existant.
The guages could be electrical type or direct pressure tube, you did not indicate? In any event you are buying a boat from a builder who does the rigging, so let them fix it as well as anything else that needs fixing and hold taking delivery and final payment until these items are taken care of.- simple!
