Do Sterling engines meet emissions? Thought you wrote in a different article that only 3 companies meet them.

Can't wait to hear more about the 1700!!! Thanks for checking in on it for us.

There are three who meet California Air Resources Board emissions at present: Ilmor, Mercury Racing and Teague. I am not sure, but I don't believe Sterling has met the CARB standards and, for that reason, cannot sell new engines in California.

The biggest challenge, again as I understand it, happens in 2013 when those standards go nationwide.

Hoping Ray of Raylar checks in on this thread because, as someone specific to the engine business, I think he can provide greater insight.
