Budget Marine Speakers- how do MB Quart compare?
Hello,
I have been looking at budget minded marine speakers such as Rockford Fosgate, Polk, Kicker, etc.. JL is not in the budget. While surfing online I came across MB Quart marine component speakers for about the same pricing. MB Quart used to make pretty nice stuff but prices were more comparable to JL's.
Does anyone here have experience with the MB marine speakers, how did you like it??
Thanks in advance,
Rick

I have been running the rockford fosgate 8" marine editions and used the MB quart 12" marine for my subs. I have been pretty happy with the combination so far. I have a remote only MB quart head unit, and have been happy with that also.

I bought my MB Quart system in 1997. I assume that was before the buyout, as I'm pretty impressed with them.

I currently have Alpines but I'm not overly impressed with them (although in all fairness, the rest of the system isn't all that impressive either).
I have a set of their top of the line components (non-marine)in one of my cars and that set sounds pretty decent, but I've heard better for the money.
With that said, Alpine has come a long way with their subs. The marine type R's thump pretty good for the coin!
