I've seen pics of that before. I think it was built back when Reggie was trying sell boats to law enforcement agencies.
And of course it's diesel powered. Fabio wouldn't have it any other way.

Check out this thread.

Yep, strange as it is, that IS a Fountain. Reggie and Buzzi partnered on a few things a few years back. There was also a stretched 47 Lightning with Trimax drives (51 to have the drives under the swim platform) and a couple of race boats without the inflatable part.

Jana, The dude that lives down the road from me owns that 51' Fountain. It is hull number 0001 and there was only one made. It has triple 600's with Buzzi surface drives. Takes about a week to get on plane, but once its up, it runs over 100 MPH. Not too bad for a 51' boat. By the way, the extra 4' is a fiberglass cover for the drives and does not extend the running surface of the boat. Its also for sale. Check it out in the DuPont Registry. Awesome ride.

That's the one! There was a good piece in Powerboat and in Boating right after it came out. Let's see, when's the next Lotto drawing?

I think of it as a Fountain Floatie.
