I was in the prototype 29 OL powered by a 525 with Mike on a test drive in Rhode Island and saw 87 mph on GPS with more dialing in to follow. I'm confident that Mike got 90 out of it before bringing it to market, which was his goal.

If it runs anything like the 43, the boat is going to haul a$$!

Hats off... As far as Fit, Finish and Quality go Outerlimits is at the top of the charts. And this new and exciting 29 is no exception. Beautiful boat. Truly amazing fit and finish that the "smaller" single engine boats I have seen are lacking. As far as the price I Feel you get what you pay for. Look at the hardware.
Great job Outerlimits!

Were you at the show? I'm a fan of OL but clearly the boats in the booth were not their best work.

A fantastic looking boat. It looks like the ultimate upgrade from someone with something like a Donzi 22 or any 25 looking for bigger, and more custom. Don't take this as a knock, I love the lines, and think it's a beautiful boat. I'm more comparing the style and type of boat, obviously not an apples to apples comparison.

Just be glad there are some many choices out there, in all price ranges, from 22 to over 50'. The last several years have not been kind to boaters or boatbuilders. Outerlimits isn't looking to flood the market with this boat, and I think it's remarkable that given today's economic climate, they can go about their business and produce great new models. There are many veteran and primo brands that can't, or won't do that today.

Kudos to any boat builder that has customers that love them and their devotion to service. And kudos to a barnd that doesn't produce ugly boats :evilb:

This is a newly designed boat and bottom. This boat will change the playing field for single engine boats. Wait till boat show when full pictures are shown it is like nothing you have ever seen.

LOL.....looks like every other boat. It is pointy on one end, and that is called the bow. :ernaehrung004:

I was not at the show. Though I did have the privilege of seeing the boat last week as it was being assembled. Granted this SV29 is not as over the top as some of Michael's boats, I feel it is one of the most well thought out and constructed boats in this single engine class. Not to mention the awesome lines and finish work. Its a gelcoat boat with a second to none finish. lets face it not everyone can run down and buy a enclosed SV43. If you have been dreaming of one then this might be a lot more reasonable and maybe more fun!?

I was at the OL factory and sat in the OL booth for a few hours watching the response to the new 29. There was never a minute on Friday that the boat did not have someone looking it over and asking questions.

The boat is a refreshing option for those in the single engine market. The boat was getting great feedback and interest from people looking to make it their primary boat as well as a second or third boat. Customers really liked the idea of having a new boat, under warranty, great performance, Outerlimits styling, and easy to operate.

The 29 is an amazing piece and I cannot wait for the36!!!!

Nice work OL

Yeah, I think they hit it out of the park with the 29. I love the idea of a reliable and efficient single (the new Ilmore SB or even the 725 with an Indy would be the hot ticket IMO) in this sexy package. I'll bet it's a nut to rip around in too!

BTW, to the new Cig owner making the comments about the poor quality and fit and finish, did you happen to get any pics to support your comments??? Looking at the close-ups in Pete's thread, I didn't notice any such issues. All of their newer stuff I've seen lately looks pretty darn good to me, although maybe my simple standards aren't as high as yours...

Is that platform extension off the back included in the measurement ? If so its really about a 27' boat.
