My boat in 2000 was 29ft single step. with bone stock 500 efi boat ran 88 mph. They have made huge advancements in prop technology. I can only imagine how it would run with a 525 and new prop. As light as this boat is i bet the figures are close. Remeber this thing is very light. All there new boats are light and hence one of the reasons they see the speeds they do.

Care to try again on that top speed number? Maybe you have some other third party observation of it, but the recorded data on the warlock 29 is nowhere near 88MPH with a stock 500.

The OL boat is not THAT light, but understandably we dont know the real weight is.

Why does everything need to be wrapped in alcantara, how does it hold up to water being all over it?

I just got back from a ride in the new 29 with Mike. Boat is unbeleivable runs perfect, no chine walk, no tab needed. Very smooth over 2-3ft waves, and yes top speed was 94 on the rev limiter. It will go close to 100 when Mike is finished playing with it. These are not whipple boxes so lets not start that.

94, Very nice.

Somebody, tell OL to update their website. It still says 28sv? and has the line drawing & computer mock up.

I'm still not clear whether this is 29 + the swim step, or 29 including the swimstep? Anyone know?

I really think that all that alacantara detracts from a boat like this.

Thank you for that! Some of these claims sure seem outrageous, and honestly how did Warlock come into play as the fastest V? I've never heard that. Typically in this size it's a Velocity with steps and a big pad I thought that topped out the highest?

What do I know, I do 70 w/ 500 hp.:lolhit:

We don't want to hear that, let's keep it negative please. Facts will only stop this infantile BS so just tell us the ride sucked, Mike is a dick, OL sucks, OL is going out of business, the owner hates the color, and the bustle was only put on to p!ss off people, that way this stupid thread can continue.

Yep I believe Velocity still owns the Factory One kilo record at 86 and some change.

my boat weighed 4000 lbs ran that number all day long. I ended up over a min ahead of the second place boat at trhe worlds. I lapped almost half of the field. I am sorry you dont believe the figures. The boat beat several f2 boats at the worlds. I had the boat hooked up. If you have any other questions let me know.I will be more than happy to give examples.

SVL-WARLOCK 02-22-2012 08:10 PM

It is also one of the best handling single engine boats . Period.
