So he's not entitled to an opinion? So are we suppose to like every single boat from every single manufacturer? If we don't we're not allowed to voice an opinion? Or is everyone suppose to love this boat because it's an OL? If this was in the OL forum I agree leave it alone but it's in general. I have stated my opinion on it as well but I "sugar-coated" mine a bit more. Tex may come off a little strong but he's brought up some good points.
Like the boat, don't like the boat. Just quit *****ing about it every time someone else says they like this or that.....or don't that seems to be the trend in here. |

I don't know about being entitled, but there are provisions in the Constitution allowing for free speech. In that regard, yes, cry the blues over and over abd over about the boat and what isn't to like. Do it a bunch in the same thread so we all understand.

Probably not, but I can tell you that the manufacturer should hear what the offshore community has to say about their new product ,good or bad. That is how you improve things when and if it might be applicable.

one thing I have learned about OSO is that no one takes critism well...
however everyone has a right to there own opinion, period. does that mean everything should turn into a pissing contest? no. take the persons opinion for what it is and move on. instigators continue to fuel the fire here. my 0.02. |

A black bilge? To hide the oil no doubt............
Bilge looks really cramped for a single engine 28ft boat........... I can't remember the last time I saw a trim pump so close to the engine. I don't mean to toot my own horn so much, but I can actually sit down on the floor of the bilge in front of my twin 502's. Is there a transmission in there? I thought this boat ran 90 with a 525? Looks like a 600sc to me. The helm is poorly styled and looks like it was pulled right off an arcade machine. Good thing they used a big screen, I doubt they could of ever fit all the gauges on there without it. Looks damn near impossible to add anything else. As it is, it appears your going to have to look around the steering wheel to see two of the gauges. The panels remove on the sides to get better access if needed. The engine comparatment is a little tight, but hopefully, one should spend more time in the cockpit, which has tons of room, in fact more than some 40+ foot boats that I've come across. So if you have to sacrifice some room, to me, its the engine compartment. If one wanted to sit in front of the engine, the cockpit would have to move quite a bit forward which would throw the CG off. There's plenty of room to have access to the engine, you can change pulleys, fuel filters, spark plugs..... As for the view, I sat in the boat, and you can see every gauge with zero issues. I don't think you can tell the angle of the steering wheel to the gauges from an angled picture. As for the dash, there's plenty of room, what other gagues do you want there? Most new boats have a simplified dash, as all new motors have CAN based outputs that send all the data to the digitial dashes. The gauges are there for more a less nostalgia feel, but the digital dash has all you need, including navigation and IPOD/IPAD connection/on screen menus. |

I'm sorry my boat is better than any boat ever made and anything that might be better I will criticize because it's not
