This should make a lot of the East Coast guys happy, and still keep the west coast following in tact!

I don't know if this is in response to the last thread, but I'm glad to see someone finally saw the light. I look forward to seeing a DCB w/o the pod tested in real offshore conditions!!! It's about time they break out of "lake boat" status.

wow is all i can think. this company who designs their boats, builds their boats is following what a bunch of keyboard experts think they should do. thoiught they would have known more about what they are doing than the rest of the world but maybe not.

I don't have a dog in this race and likely wont own a DCB anytime soon since they are typically better suited to lake/river usage, but I do think making it an option to order w/o a pod is a very good call. This opens their market up considerably and IMO makes a lot more sense for a boat this size which should be better suited on larger water (w/o the pod) anyway.
DCB is known for their rigging and attention to detail, but also as a west coast lake boat builder. With this larger cat and offering it w/o the pod I see no reason they can't compete with the big east coast players in the 40' cat market... which is why I said I look forward to the testing of this new model w/o the pod.
Good call to offer w/o the pod IMO and I hope to see one on the east coast in the not to distant future.

Awesome news!
DCB makes a very nice top notch boat and their M series are great looking and running boats! I'm really looking forward to the new M41 cuz by the looks of the renderings it looks great!
IMO i think its smart on their part to make the center pod an option to cater for the lake guys aswell as the ocean guys. Their current M bottoms with pod handle rough waters very well so I can only assume the new M41 with out pod will handle awesome in even rougher waters.
Either way, pod or no pod its going to be a head turner for sure!!
