There is no benefit to stretch the truth, fact my 1075 sv43 ran 140 at loto fresh water measured mile, warm weather. Big wheels cold weather have seen big speeds. The other boat that ran 178 could have had more than 1400hp, it was turning 7500. I think the fountain was a larger boat, also don't think the sterling 1550hp really make that much power.

Just some info i have turned up my 1075s on my 43 and have seen speeds over 150. Not to let cat out of the bag , but have bin in another 43 at factory with 1400hp and seen 178 on rev limiter. Mike can break record at any time, more worried in building and selling boats right now.

do we really need oso to do the math on how much power your motors need to be turned up to do this 150.
what excaliper47 said is actual fact,what you've said,well,i don't know.:hitfan:

For the SV43 about 1200-1250hp, not really a problem. Given time to strech out, it also will run 142+ with stock 1075 power. Heck, the SL44 will run 140 with stock power and it'll do that loaded with comfort.
SV43, am I right in assuming you're not propped for all out speed, but also a bit of accelleration when running in the low 140 numbers?

I thought I read in the OL forum that this particular 44 had no cabin and it was extremely cold when she ran 139mph in the turned up last 1075 stock power...

Hm, yes come to think of it. I think it have what they call a "basic cabin". I know it has a bow thruster:D The motors were not turned up for that run btw. Even though it was cold, it is still a slower boat than the SV43, so the 139-140 number is still very good for any 44 with that power.

When Ol tells you the motors are NOT "turned up" , they are turned up.

I think I got a few more mph to pull out of the new ride. Few more phone calls to make.

That was my first time driving the boat:poopoo:

I hope to be low 90's and maybe 95. Im not sure that I was setup rite/ drove it rite. I had over 25% prop slip. In the end I just want to boat every weekend and not too worried aobut my top speed.
