If I'm not mistaken, I think his association was with OL Racing, not OL boat company.

always thought racing was an LLC setup for racing but was separate from the boat building business and not even in the same building.

However, I'm not expert so don't quote me as fact.

Fountain is history. Enough said..
Besides, I know both Mike and Reggie personnally. I rather have a drink with Mike and have an OL then a drink with Reggie and have a Fountain. (not getting into the Reggie/me history here.) Both are great boats. Period.

You'd laugh at that statement if it wasn't coming from him.

Agreed though that the above would put a bad taste in a lot of non OL owners mouths, especially Fountain owners.

From what I've seen though ( as a fairly decent glass guy/ X builder) the OL build quality is as good as it gets.
