Hey Jon,
I am having a HELL of a time trying to adjust my new
Direct TV satellite dish. Any tips? It's always telling me
to move it 3 degrees but in what direction?

Has it ever worked? First thing you have to do is get yourself into the aim sat. screen. That is the one with the meter on it. I am going to assume that it is new and we will go from there. The first thing that you have to do is to make sure that the mount is perfectly strait up and down. Use a level not your eye. Once that is there then lock it in place. Make sure the mount does not move at all!!! Next put your zip into the sat reciever and it will tell you your elevation and azumith and tilt (tilt is only if you have a multiple LB dish). Once you set the elevation and tilt then get out your compass and see what way to aim it. That number will match up with the azumith number. If you do not have a compass and you have done all the other things correctly then you should just be able to move the sat. a little at a time from side to side and get the signal then tweek it in. If you still have trouble call me on my cell at (978) 985-0639 and I will talk ya through it. Of course this is all assuming that there are no trees blocking your aim out!!!!

Jon

Plus you can get a signal meeter at Radio schak for like 25.00 then you can aim it at the dish.

THANKS GENTLEMEN!

PMT must have quit the marine industry and became a comedian.
He needs to brush up on his slapstick.
