Detroit Boat Show

Has anyone gone to the Detroit Boat Show at Cobo Hall?
Was it worth the time going? Where is the best place to park? I'm thinking of going Saturday if it's worth it. Thanks.

I've went the last two years....lots of pontoon, ski boats and sea rays....other than an excuse to go downtown its not worth it to me. Park in the Cobo Hall parking ramp right next door.

Worth the trip

I always enjoy the show. I like to park at the Greektown Casino (free), ride the people mover, then have dinner at Pegasus in the casino.

For quiet a few years now, there hasn't been much for the performance boater to see at Cobo HALL, just like most other boat shows around. Want to see performance boats and accessories, book a flight to see the Miami Boat Show.

Miami Boat Show

I would like to go to the Miami show. We just got finished building a display for the sunroof made for a yacht that is put out by Webasto. If someone see's the display, could they click me a photo or two? I would like to see it and show the boss after they did a boat show set up display.

Save your parking and ticket money for Autorama in a couple weeks. Time and money much better spent....

Autorama is a great event

I used to love this time of year, the last minute push to get my show vehicle ready for Autorama... I know it sounds insane but I lived for the 20 hr/day for the last two weeks before Autorama and that first beer during move in at Cobo on Thursday evening.... Most car guys share this sickness..... It has been a few years since I had a show vehicle..... I gave the show vehicles for the Velocity..... I have a new project in the garage and as soon as I physically am ready (recovering from second back surgery), I will be balls out getting it ready for the 2013 Detroit Autorama..........

I usually try to make it to both events every year and the Detroit Autorama is always jam packed. I too use to show a car on the ISCA curcuit, and sold it to get into boating.
My friends and I will definitely be in Detroit on Feb 25 for the Autorama.
