is this a different one then you posted a couple months ago? Great hull. Race?? Pleasure?? Wheres it headed? Looks like a nice balanced layup so far

TeamSaris 02-20-2012 02:58 PM

These boats are the most bang for the buck you can build right now.

Yup! Would love to see them more in SS Cat. Thought i heard they are starting to be more competitive because of new course layouts and how the class is spec'ed.

Noli has the answers! We became a non-stocking dealer for them a little over a month ago. Perfect alternative to a Skater, but still a quality product

now i see why all the questions about the skater layup..:party-smiley-004: I don't believe there is a alternative to a skater!!

This one will be built a little lighter than the previous customer's boat. Lighter because it will be used in Poker Runs. Will be a canopy deck.

Again, at this time the factory has no dealerships only because we learned a lot from the Jim Darr incidents (which spanned a total of almost 7 years)

But we need all the help we can get. Fast Fun 2 (J) is an incredible guy. Straight up shooter. And others, you all know who you are. (P) down in FL. These are the folks who collectively has helped us along.

I will be trailering the hull a lot, trying to go to as many Poker Runs as possible. Will be a joint effort between the factory and me. Which is why we opted for the 8'6" beam.

We can still deliver the wide body models for those interested.

Make sure you make it clear that this boat being built is your personal boat. Also that you are not employed by Predator etc.. Otherwise a great thread ( Like the last one) may get poofed by the moderators:)

noli 02-20-2012 06:20 PM

.

That's correct. I am not an employee of Predator, nor am I a broker of Predator Powerboats.

I respect Arnaldo (owner) a lot and am a big fan of his products...all of them...

Did I mention a 35 foot CC cat in the works?

power options: I/O and Outbds

We can custom build to customer's specification.

Weve been a Skater deal a longgggg time, since 1986, there an awesome boat. Nothing can beat them on a race course. Not everyone can afford a Skater. Like I said bang for the buck, you would love a Predator. More creature comforts.
Two completely different boats.

DPT MOTORSPORTS 02-20-2012 08:47 PM

Any plans to build the wider version or only if someone places an order?? Looking forward to seeing this build come along.

What's the width on the wider version.

Careful how light you make this hull. The one i raced with Dean was a light kilo layup and was un drivable with anything less then two hundred pounds or so in the bow.

Noli-

Are you planning on rigging this boat with 300xs's? What is the planned finish date of this build?

Thanks
Don

noli 02-21-2012 01:50 PM

I am not yet decided on the power

I like the power and RPM band of the 300X

I also like the fuel savings from 300XS

I also would like to look into Wilson Custom for my lower gear cases

would you know where I can get 300XS cheap?

I would recommend running 300xs's if this is a true promotional boat for Predator. Run them stock first to get a baseline them if you want to modify from there then go for it. For Predator to gain market share they need to prove that this boat will be as fast/ If not faster than the other 30 to 32's on the market. A good goal for this boat would be 105 on stock 300xs's.

noli 02-21-2012 06:15 PM

Are you familiar with this boat? have you run them before?

Wahoo ATV 02-21-2012 06:26 PM

I have and 105mph should be no problem.

noli 02-21-2012 06:50 PM

Can you please describe the boat and the engine setup. Very interested in your performance numbers and experience

Lauderdaleboats 02-21-2012 07:40 PM

Here's some vid from an AMT cockpit during a race.

Is that the old Secret Agent boat running flat out on the inside? Nice video, nothing like the sound of 280's.

noli 02-22-2012 02:38 PM

Wahoo, thanks for posting this valuable info, and those are awesome pics!!!

As Maritime was saying, I need to duplicate those fast numbers using OEM engines...along the flavor of 300XS motors

Wahoo: were you runnin' with 15" mids?

Thanks!
