Hey Jay,
Do you get matching pink and lavander streamers to hang off your steering wheel with those motors?
J/K Dude! I'm really happy for you man, those engines look sharp and I'll bet you're totally psyched. Good luck!

Yo Nick, Whats up dude
Yeah HOOKER BARBIE PINK!!!!!!
(the camera did not have a flash so engines look a bit different than they actually are)
Yeah im pumped
Going to pick them up on Friday and take them to my friends work, then tow boat up there Saturday morning, hike them in with the Fork Lift, and start the fun task of hooking everything back up
I removed all silent choice crap from the boat, and alot of other BS things, redid the bilge and re-rigged alot of the wiring and venting.
(and painted some stuff that pink color to tie in the engines back there)
So now it is getting close to the 9th inning, score is tied, bases loaded, its time for the big one!!!!!!!!

Hey Sling
That is the deck of the block where the head does not quite sit out as far as the block extends.
All BBC engines have that but since this engine is painted a weird color, it shows more
there is no gap in there though
Oh man I cant wait to dump these in
Maybe Ill be a threat to some of the boats in a poker run this year MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
(okay I cant get ahead of myself here)

Mopower, Here is a brief list of what was done
454 pulled out
disassembled
block line bored, and punched .030 over
New pistons with teflon skirt for less friction
All new rings, bearings, freeze plugs
Heads (stock 330 Peanut heads tossed in garbage where they belong)
Got new ported and polished and port matched to intakes large oval heads with new valve seals, guides, new exhaust valves, and new springs.
Cam is comp cams xe-268H12 224 230 515 521 110 LSA
New polished performer manifolds, new double roller timing chain, new lifters, new pushrods, new valve covers, new timing chain covers, New cap, rotors, MSD's, new taylor wires!!!
She is hopefully going to run her ass off but Im just ready to hear her run in the drive way and break her in first before she hits the water.
Slowly im getting there
Now wife is all in my face about WILL IT BE READY FOR JULY 4th???
Im like oh man here we go, now you want me to get it ready, running and broken in and out on the river in 2 weeks
we will see

Unfortunately I cant take time off right now.
With the wedding and honeymoon and end of summer im headed to Ocean City Maryland so that is it.
I have to sit here workin all week and just keep in my head that they will be installed on Saturday
But now my friend with the forklift might not be able to help me on Saturday so im poking around for Plan B right now.
Anyone have a fork lift or tow truck with a boom or something ???
Jason

Chain fall, wood from home depot if you have to. I do mine with a beam and chain fall all the time. Not as easy as some of the other options but it does work well

Hey Jon, no way dude
Anything I suspended them from would fall apart I know it
these things are freaking HEAVY and since the boat sits about 6'6" off the ground so you got to hike engines up about 8 feet in the air
no way dude no way
Ill get the fork lift
LOL
Mopower, it took about 2 weeks to tear them apart, clean them machine them, clean em again and again and again
do all the paint work and assembly
