Great video's Bill. It looks like the bravo in the video is severely flexing in the front, the gap between the lower and upper housing seems like its all over the place, might just be the angle, but my god it looks like its about to break right off. Great work.

The comparison of these two drives are not even close. The Xdrive is the best alternative for bravo users if you wanna get away from the headaches of blown bravos. The only downside I see is 35k a piece for the Xdrives. thats 70k which is more than half of what most of us paid for our bravo boat.

True, but its looks to handle the HP of an arneson or a #6, and it just bolts up. By the time you pay someone to convert your bravo to a surface drive you will have much more than that into it, and will you get it back a resale?

You could buy this drive and keep it for life, or pull off the boat when time to sell, bolt on the bravo and sell this drive used to help recover that money.

I like, but I don't have 70k cash. How about a scaled down model that handles 800hp for $11k each?

That Bravo leg is not tightened down............smoke and mirrors IMHO.............

Both of those videos appear to show the drives being run as a surfacing drive - which Mercury doesn't recommend the Bravo for last time I checked. I was really hoping for a true underwater video showing the flow of water over the bullet and to the prop.

I am disappointed as well. I was really wanting to see some underwater girl on girl action.

I remember the old Mocosookie Fountain after the (I think) St. Pete Worlds, just came to the dry pits with about an inch of each blade tip rolled over from the lowers flexing in towards each other. BTW, it had upper and lower tie bars!! :eekdrop:
