Anybody ever used a Hot Foot in a outboard offshore Cat before?
Use to have a bass boat that had it...loved it and hated running any boat without it at that time LOL...I have seen some listed on S&F that say they have em...would be nice on a single outboard but not to sure about a twin.
Check out NASCATs classified ad. He had the twin version. Have seen them a lot before

Got one on my 21' revolution with 300xs. Only run one offshore power boat race but heaps of offshore ski races. Never a problem with holding throttle steady. Plus I like having full control as the driver.
i have one, never used,i bought it at least 10 years ago,50 bucks plus the ride if anybody needs it.still in a box somewhear in my shop.
Had one in my Champion bass boat along with power jack plate and trim all on the wheel. Traveled all the great lakes in bass and walleye tourneys. They worked great for me. Total control at all times.

I have an In Control Foot Throttle and right next to it sits an In Control Foot Trim pedal. (Trim up - Toes, Trim Down - Heel). Not only does it allow me to keep both hands on the wheel, but with the seat properly adjusted, holding a steady throttle isn't a problem even in rough water. In fact in rough water, you can actually throttle (pedal) it even more accurately. I'd never had one until I bought the Progression. Now I wouldn't trade it for the world.
The other thing having two pedals does is lead to some interesting conversation around the docks. A guy walked by my boat one day at the marina. He stopped, stared, then said, "OK, I think I know what the one on the right is for. What's the one on the left do?" I looked him square in the eye and dead panned, "Brakes." He didn't say a word and walked away. Yup, my work here is done! |
theres a couple guys in OPA that race with them.
