Default What to do in Lake Tahoe?

The wife and I are in Incline Village in Lake Tahoe. Beside the obvious of skiing and snowmobiling, what else is there to do? We are hitting the casino tonight. We'll be here until Thursday morning. Then heading to San Fransisco for a few days.
Thanks for any help.
Eddie

Take a drive around the Southwest side of the lake, check out emerald bay. I did some hiking and skiing out there several years ago, my favorite ski destination. Got lost in the Casinos, when they still comp'ed drinks got slightly over served and could not figure out the underground tunnels

Go to Gar Woods on Carnelian Bay for lunch if it's open. None of the vintage wooden boats will be there. The place has lots of atmosphere and history.

If it were summer, I'd have two words for you: mountain bike. The Lake Tahoe area has some of the most amazing trails in the country. The best known is the Flume Trail, but there are many, many others.

Thanks Dave. We are going to try to make it around the lake tomorrow.

Thanks Matt. We just made dinner reservations for tonight at Gar Wood. I had no idea that they were here. To bad it isn't warmer and some of the boats were out.

An Emerald Bay boat tour is nice if you have 2 1/2 hours..and feel the need to get out on the water ...fun if there is a bit of ice on the Lake..

Thanks 28V. There is definitely no ice on the lake. It's damn near 50 degrees today. There is barely enough snow to ski.
I'm always up for a boat ride. Thanks for the info.

The locals like to say if you don't like the weather in Nevada..just wait a day...looks like 1-3" snow at Donner tonight and more tomorrow nite...not sure when you are leaving but chains over the summit are no fun .

Looks like you can rent the Thunderbird for $5k..but not til May...twin Allisons from memory..she paced the last offshore race we had on the Lake in '96 according to the date on my photos..never been to the Castle where she is kept. I saw it once on one of those haunted TV shows..someone was killed on the property or the dock where she is housed and the ghost is present.
