B38 We raced twin small block boat with trs for 4 seasons all we ever did was change the gear oil. We broke input shafts from the drive to the merc trans but never hurt a drive. I sold them on ebay when we converted to Bravos without any issues. |
600 HP and 75ish MPH in a HEAVY 24. Never had any issues whatsoever. Never abused the boat, but certainly didn't baby it either!

I have heard low eighties on an 83 flatdeck Scarab with approx eight hundred a side but also heard the boat went through drives like crazy (6-8 a yr?).
|
My modified boat 81 MPH ,we had to run stock Drives (TRS) in those days.
|
come on now, I am looking for triple digits here.
81mph so far is the best. :party-smiley-004: |
what did the yellow manta fever run?...I believe that and a 30 scarab indigo ran into the 100s...with trs and small block power...
|
most trs installation have low x dimensions. tb's 28 cig did 90 mph with them
|
I believe member Andy has/had a 30 Velocity with 800HP/side and he was in the 100mph.
I'm almost to 80mph with my TRS. |
