I honestly don't understand what you're worried about... It's been like that for a long time and nothing has happened (and likely won't), not to mention that OP isn't all that bad, I know I wouldn't be overly concerned about it. I'd just keep a casual eye on it and make sure noting changes.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.....I have run a few boats in my time and have encountered this more often than not!!!!!

My personal opinion at this point based on your findings and input is you don't really have a problem. Just monitor the oil pressure ocasionally, a little closer when above 4000 rpms and if it stays the same and does not degrade furthur you should be just fine until its really time to refresh or rebuild.

Raylar has quite a nice level of engine buisness we care to handle correctly and I doubt we will ever see Jpazluski's engines.
Just trying to give him some reasonable information, clarification and advise. Not plugg'in for work here!

Never seen a mild marine performance engine grenade at 45-47 psi oil pressure at 5000 rpms where oil pressure was shown to be the problem. If you've seen different I would like to hear the facts! I always try and keep an open mind and learn more.
