If a pontoon shows up with people I know and what to tie up I let them dangel off my rear. The current keeps them away and we can pull them up to the plat form to tranfer people

Always take your shoes off!!! A few years ago on a poker run they had no dockspace avalible so I called my friend and asked if I could pull next to his skater he said go right ahead!! so as i am pulling up the dock guy comes down saying I have to ask to park here I go I did he goes "ok" so after I am at the bar I see a boat pull next to mine and the dock guy did not say a thing to him about parking by me. But what bugs me the most is that he walked on the deck of my boat with his shoes and left marks!!!!!

On smaller boat my thing is when stepping out of or on is to try not to make the boat dip to bad by stepping on the gunnels. Seen it more then one time someone steps there, the boat dips down and under the bumpers then comes back up with rub rail a blazing into the boat next to it.

If i do cross on the bow i crass as close to the cockpit as possible too. In case you get that dew in the morning its easy to reach over and wipe it than trying to wipe te whole bow. I can honestly say the only place ive been tied up to where i need to cross over the boat is at the casino and pib and 95% of the time everybody gets it if your tied next to a bunch of go fasts. But you always get the wizard who knows best.

If I was a passenger on someones boat I would follow their rules no doubt. On our boat, blast the music, dance anywhere and have a great time. I'm not quite sure about why everybody tries to keep people off the interior... it's meant to be used. We use our boat daily and always have tons of passengers and have never had a problem. As for smoking, please do it on the swim platform, and drinks that are going to stain if spilled are not allowed. Beers and clear drinks are no problem, I can wipe those up. If i spent every second worrying about if someone was stepping on the cushions / back seat / sunpad I would not have a chance to enjoy myself!

A certain group of coast guard guys were not impressed with me when I asked them to take their boots off to get in my boat. Told me they could not remove any part of the uniform. Put towels down then went to jail for the next couple hours. Another group cool as hell and didn't bother even getting on the boat. Admitted they pulled us over just to check it out. Can't win them all but I was always told treat everybody elses stuff better then you treat your own.

Every boat is different. I have a Jon boat that we throw around crab traps and chicken necks in but I would prefer that you didn't stand on the seats of my 1973 Nova. Just different uses.
