:eek::eek::eek: |
I paid about $2000 per motor with us pulling the engines. That was me bringing the whole engine to him with headers on. He did all dissassembly, changed oil, all filter, plugs, wires, cap, started engine on stand and re-timed. All I had to do was drop it back in when he was done.

I have a 2000 33 Donzi ZX Daytona with 500 efi motors. Owned the boat since new, Regular maintanance and no abuse the motors lasted just over 500 hours. Had a roller lifter go bad in one and damaged the camshaft. I pulled both motors and had rebuilt. by a reputable shop, Cost to rebuild both motors and dyno was right at $10,000. You cannot get a quality rebuild on a 350 chevy for $2000?? The best speed i have seen on GPS was 86. Boat will run in the low to mid 80s depending on conditions. Hope this info helps

My mistake, After read the post again I see where the $2000 was for a top end rebuild, Mine was complet top and bottom.
$2000 would be a fair price for top end rebuild |
im now almost at 330 and still trying to wate till winter if i can and thanks for all the help. was hoping to see if i could get them done in the boat and not have to pull them. but i gess in will have to look into some more shops around here.....
