Both the 27 Fever and 29 Fever are nice boats, but the 29, in my opinion, is a nicer all around package. I would skip the later model 29 with twin 6.2's, (they no longer put BBC's in them after ~ 2000) but that is just my opinion. They only run ~ 70 mph for a total of 640 hp whereas a single 525 EFI will run 76 -78 mph. Plus, you have to do all modifications X 2 ,like changing props, drive oil, engine oil, etc (and exhaust manifolds if you run in salt since they are not closed cooling system), and the 6.2's like to eat IAC's - you need to carry spares .... just ask anyone who has a Formula 292 about the 6.2's and IAC issues. Ours ate 2 during the time we owned it. Most of the 292's had 6.2's in them so there is a lot of experience about that. You can do a search on the 6.2's in the Formula forum on here.
